Sample Lesson with ToonDoo

Here we’re providing a sample lesson plan that you can use to introduce your students to ToonDoo.   It includes much of the basic information included in this Teacher’s Guide along with an easy assignment for students to get familiar with the software.  The basic idea is for students to create same cartoon that you see in the teachers guide and then to modify it in whatever way they wish. The goal is to create an original cartoon that uses as many of the tools as they can while maintaining the same basic concept; an introduction to ToonDoo.  Feel free to modify the plan to best fit your needs.

Creating Comic Strips Online

Toon Teachers, What Other Saying? No Comments »

There are many online sites where students can easily make their own comic strips. Most of the ones I’ve linked to my site, but not necessarily all, then allow them to email the url’s to their teacher to post on a website.  I have several listed under Student Comic Strips on the Examples of Student Work page on my website.

I’ve just put a link to a brand new site called ToonDoo, which looks like it might be the best of the lot.  I heard about it from a variety of places, including the Langwitches blog.  It’s the last link listed in that section.
